Absolute Electrical reports use an IEEE formula to calculate Tmax Corrected values for inspected components. This formula may be used to determine if a component is running within its specified temperature limits and may be used for components operating at less than full load or at various ambient temperatures. Useful for QA inspections, Tmax Corrected can be applied to electrical components that do not exhibit obvious hot spots or thermal anomalies. For specific information on the use of Tmax Corrected , refer to your Infrared training materials or contact us.
